This course provides essential knowledge of sustainable building concepts that are fundamental to all LEED rating systems. You will learn about LEED intents at the credit category level, including common strategies, synergies, metrics and referenced standards; as well as basics of the LEED certification process. Interactive activities based on real LEED projects will also reinforced what you have learnt. This course is recommended prior to taking commercial rating system-specific education programs. This workshop provides participants with the eligibility to do the LEED Green Associate Exam.
Objectives of the workshop:

IDENTIFY the key components of the LEED Rating System

DISCUSS overall LEED Certification process

DESCRIBE the intents & associated concepts of each LEED credit category

EXPLAIN regulations, recognitions and incentives related to each credit category

RECOGNIZE successful LEED strategies and measurements for achieving credit category goals

All attendees will receive a certificate of completion from the USGBC and SGBC

This workshop will provide essential learning for all those with a stake in their company’s or community’s building practices, whether on project sites or in a non-technical field of practice. It is also essential for those directly involved in green building projects and those pursuing GBCI’s LEED Green Associate credential.
