Middle East Wastewater Treatment & Reuse 2009
MEED

HOME

Governments in the Gulf are increasingly recycling treated water as a cost-effective solution to growing demand. According to experts more than 5.5 million cubic metres a day of new treatment capacity is required to meet demand in the GCC alone. This presents huge business potential for those providing equipment, services and finance in the region’s wastewater sector.

The need to build new capacity is driving governments to turn to the private sector, presenting an abundance of commercial opportunities. MEED’s Wastewater Treatment and Reuse 2009 conference reports on the most significant projects taking place across the region, identifying where the key opportunities exist. You’ll hear the upcoming plans for sewage treatment plants and networks in the GCC and beyond, enabling you to know which markets to target for maximum returns on investment.

Some of the projects to be investigated:
  • As Samra STP, Jordan
  • Umm al-Hayman STP expansion, Kuwait
  • Darsait STP, Oman
  • Privatisation plans in Saudi Arabia
  • Developments in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
