Opportunities in the industry
The Gulf is the most water scarce region in the world but is seeing huge development and population expansion creating more waste water and putting significant pressure on existing water resources. With estimated 10% annual growth in water demand, excluding agriculture, desalination cannot cope on its own so new innovative projects are being designed.
Highlights of last year’s programme:
UAE – Opening keynote presentation from H.E. Dr. Salem Al Dhahiri, Advisor to the MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND WATER, former General Director, FEDERAL ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORITY
OMAN – updates on new wastewater services from Omar Al Wahaibi, Chief Executive Officer, HAYA WATER
SAUDI ARABIA – Privatisation initiatives shared from Nasser H. Al-Aamry, Senior Manager, Privatization Programs, NATIONAL WATER COMPANY
We also had participation from:
ADSSC, ADWEC, ATKINS, AZALIYA, CORODEX INDUSTRIES, DUBAI MUNICIPALITY, HSBC, JORDAN MINISTRY OF WATER & IRRIGATION, METITO, REGULATION & SUPERVISION BUREAU, VEOLIA
This is an excellent opportunity for you to hear from those awarding contracts and from those already working on major contracts. Find out how to get ahead in the region and find out what lessons can be learnt from those currently operating here. |
